All mates on INSATIABLE are trained and experienced. They have passed a pre-hire drug test and, like the Captain, are subject to random drug and alcohol testing per USCG regulations.
The mate’s income is primarily based on tips. He arrives at the boat hours before you and does not leave until the boat is clean and gear is clean and put away. Like a good waitress or waiter the mate sets the tone for an enjoyable experience. Please show your appreciation for a job well done with a tip of 20% or more, if earned.
